The Sysmac automation platform integrates safety solutions into our concept of a single connection and a single software. A single connection is achieved through the "Safety over EtherCAT" (FSoE) protocol. A single software is realized by using Sysmac Studio for configuration, programming, and maintenance tasks. The NX safety system consists of a safety controller and safety I/O units. Both the safety controller and safety I/O can be freely distributed within an I/O rack via the network and can also be mixed in any combination with standard NX I/O.
