For general purpose bar code label applications, use 3M Thermal Transfer Label Materials 7818. It’s ideal for flexo printed branding, warnings or instruction label applications. Our 83 micron 7818 has a matt topcoat smooth enough for thermal transfer printing, and combines good print definition with chemical and abrasion resistance. The 310 adhesive resists oozing and provides a high bond strength for a variety of high surface energy substrates. This label material is the perfect balance of price and product performance. 3M Performance Label Stock Materials offer a wide range of products for long term durability and adhesion with automotive chemical resistance and outdoor durability. Some products are UL/CSA compliant materials that can be printed by flexographic or screen print processes, as well as thermal transfer, digital printing, inkjet, laser or dot matrix printing.
