Castrol Optigear Synthetic A are fully synthetic high performance gear oils with PD (plastic deformation) technology. They offer optimum wear protection under extreme thermal loads and the most severe operating conditions such as high loads, vibration, oscillation and shock loads. The wide temperature application range, especially at low start-up temperatures, and the high load-carrying capacity particularly characterize these industrial gear oils. Thermally and mechanically stable polyalphaolefin and PDAdditivation (plastic deformation) adapt to changing operating conditions and actively prevent wear. The surface quality is optimized in a wear-free manner.ApplicationCastrol Optigear Synthetic A high performance gear oils are suitable for use in particularly highly loaded industrial gears, with large temperature fluctuations and highest loads, wind turbines, conveyor belts, crane gears, elevators, rolling mills. They can be used for highly loaded eccentrics, gear couplings, chain drives, drives and joints of robots and for positive power transmission as well as for all plain and roller bearings, especially also tapered roller bearings in extruders, vibrating screens, vibrators or for screw presses. Castrol Optigear Synthetic A is miscible with all mineral oil based gear oils. Full effectiveness is only achieved when used unmixed.
