The D-040 series trifunctional wind valve combines the characteristics of an automatic wind valve with those of an air and vacuum valve.
The air purification component is designed to automatically release into the atmosphere small air sacs that accumulate along the pipe when the system is full and pressurized.
The air and vacuum component has been designed to automatically discharge or admit large volumes of air during the filling or emptying of the pipe.

- After the deep-hole bombs.
- Long pipeline segments in steady decline.
- At elevated points along the line and in relation to the hydraulic slope.
- At the end of the lines.
- Before the meters.

The main characteristics:
- Working pressure: 16 bar
- Test pressure: 25 bar
- Maximum working temperature: 60°C
- Maximum working temperature at the moment: 90°C
- Reliable operation reduces the incidence of kite strikes.
- The dynamic design facilitates high-speed air discharge and prevents premature closure.
- Light weight, small size, simple and reliable structure.
- The drainage outlet allows for the evacuation of excess fluids.
- The large size of the automatic cleaning hole relative to the size of the valve body:
- It allows for large air streams to discharge.
- Reduces the risk of particulate obstruction and impurities.
- Allows the use of patented airtight seal-opening rubber less sensitive to pressure differences than direct floaters.

The body is made of highly resistant composite materials and all operating parts are made of specially selected, corrosion resistant materials.
Given its small weight, the valve can be installed on plastic or other lightweight pipes.
