Advantages

  • Robust Design: IP65 housing for use in industrial and outdoor environments.
  • High Power: Regulation of systems up to 8.400 Wp.
  • Versatility: Compatible with three voltage levels (12V, 24V, 48V).
  • Connectivity: Possibility of connecting several regulators in parallel to increase the system's power.
  • Monitoring: LCD display with information on key parameters and data logging.

Operation

The Steca Power Tarom 2140 uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology to regulate battery charging from the energy generated by solar panels. It offers a complete charging cycle divided into four stages: bulk, absorption, float, and equalization.

Charging Cycle:

  • Bulk: Initial fast charge.
  • Absorption: Maintaining maximum voltage to complete the charge.
  • Float: Maintaining the battery at an optimal charge level.
  • Equalization: Correction of voltage differences between battery cells.

The regulator also includes functions such as automatic disconnection of consumption in case of low battery charge and automatic connection of a generator via auxiliary relay.
