Shrink Disc

The Shrink disc is supplied ready for installation (Condition: New / Manufacturing Germany). The functional surfaces of the Shrink disc are lubricated ex works.

The contact surfaces between shrink disk and hollow shaft must also be lubricated before assembly. Assembly is carried out by pushing the shrink disk onto the hollow shaft and then clamping it by the hydraulic system.

Assembly Process

• Push the shrink disk onto the hollow shaft.
• Clamp it by the hydraulic system.

By using conical surfaces, the inner diameter is reduced and the radial pressure is built up. After clamping, the Shrink disc is mechanically blocked and the hydraulic pressure is reduced. Detailed assembly instructions are available.
