Redundancy Module Speeds
Redundancy module speeds up to 1000 Mbps when using a 1756-RM2 or RM2XT module with another 1756-RM2/RM2XT module. Your system experiences the best analysis performance if you use a redundancy module 1756-RM2 or RM2XT with the 1756-L7X controllers in both chassis.
Safety and SIL2 Compliance
The modules are 1756-RM2/RM2XT interference-free regarding safety functions and can be used in ControlLogix ® applications SIL2.
Redundant Fiber Ports
Redundant fiber ports for the 1756-RM2/RMXT cross-load modules; no single fiber cable failure point.
Channel Switching Time
During a switch of the fiber channels in the 1756-RM2/RM2XT modules, exploration time may encounter a delay of ~10 ms or less. However, the chassis remains synchronized at all times during the channel switching process.
