Oil/Water Heat Exchanger
An oil/water heat exchanger is a device that transfers heat from hot oil to water. It consists of two separate circuits, one for the oil and one for the water, which are separated by a heat transfer surface.
The hot oil flows through the first circuit, while the cooler water flows through the second circuit. As the two fluids come into contact with each other across the heat transfer surface, heat is transferred from the hot oil to the water. This process can be used to heat water for various purposes, such as domestic hot water supply, industrial processes, or space heating.
- Types of Oil/Water Heat Exchangers:
- Shell and tube heat exchangers
- Plate heat exchangers
- Spiral heat exchangers
