Bipolar Type K 30 kA - Series S500
The high-performance ABB S500 Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) offers a compact solution for circuit protection. These current limiting MCBs are DIN rail mountable and can offer application-specific trip characteristics to provide maximum circuit protection.
Type K Characteristics
Type K characteristics have been specifically designed for the protection of motor control circuits and elements used within them. It has a very sensitive thermal curve, combined with a magnetic setting 8 times the normal input current, which is high enough to prevent unnecessary tripping from surges, and provides good protection against overcurrent conditions.
