Loading Cell of Beam in Shear

The loading cell for beam shear is a device used to measure the shear force acting on a beam. It consists of two main parts: a load plate and a strain gauge.

  • Load Plate: This plate is attached to the beam and experiences the shear force directly.
  • Strain Gauge: A sensitive sensor that measures the deformation (strain) in the load plate due to the applied shear force.

The strain gauge output is then converted into a measurable electrical signal, which can be used to determine the magnitude of the shear force acting on the beam.
