The FRONIUS Primo 4.0-1 4kW Grid-Tie Inverter is a single-phase grid-tied inverter without a transformer. All Primo models incorporate two MPPTs and have IP65 protection, but the light variants lack WLAN communications for remote management and monitoring.

It is ideal for meeting the needs of any home. Primo models have a standard interface to the internet via WLAN or Ethernet and easy integration with components from other manufacturers. They include datamanager and free connection to the solarweb portal. It has a Meter interface that allows dynamic management of power supply and consumption visualization.

How it Works

The FRONIUS Primo 4.0-1 4kW Grid-Tie Inverter allows us to connect to the electrical grid without batteries, making these installations economical and highly profitable in the long term due to their low cost resulting from a simple installation and few electronic devices that increase the system's price.

For a grid-tied installation to function correctly, we need a group of solar panels previously calculated to meet each case's needs and a grid-tie inverter that allows us to transform the energy from the solar panels into alternating current so that it can be used. Fronius inverters have a zero grid injection system, which means that if the solar installation is producing more energy than the house or industrial building is consuming, the zero injection system will allow us to reduce the inverter's power at our discretion only in case of an energy surplus.

In summary, the functionality of zero injection systems is to reduce the inverter's power when the produced energy is greater than the consumed energy, thus preventing it from being poured into the grid.
