It is important to have a supply of emergency items on hand in case of unexpected events such as natural disasters, power outages, or other emergencies.

  • Flashlight and extra batteries.
  • Radio: Battery-powered or hand-crank to receive emergency broadcasts.
  • Whistle to signal for help.
  • Multi-purpose tool.
  • Dust mask to filter contaminated air.
  • Plastic sheeting and duct tape for shelter repair.
  • Sanitation and hygiene items: Soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, etc.

It is also important to have a plan in place for emergencies and to practice it regularly with your family.
