Ohmmeter for insulation resistance up to 4000 MΩ / CAT III 1000 V / Simple handling / Individual or continuous measurement / MAX and MIN functions
The ohmeter detects with auxiliary voltages of 125 V, 250 V, 500 V and 1000 V insulation resistance up to a maximum of 4000 MΩ. This ohmeter also measures low resistance up to 400 Ω and integrates a continuous and alternating voltage measurement function.
The screen is easy to read even in low light environments thanks to its large digits and backlit display. The large keys and the rotary button to select the magnitude make it an easy-to-handle device.
Limit values to be observed in isolation measurements:
- New installations (dry spaces): 1000 Ω x V of the operating voltage (e.g. in 230 V > 230 kΩ)
- New installations (wet spaces, open air): 500 Ω x V of the operating voltage
- Ground-supplied device: 1000 Ω x V of operating voltage
- Double insulated devices: 2 MΩ
- Electrical equipment: 2 MΩ
- Low protection voltage: 250 kΩ
- Electrical meters: 5 MΩ
- The usual test voltage values are 100 V for low voltage installations and telecommunications installations, 500 V for installations in buildings and houses, and 1000 V for low voltage motors and transformers.
