Pull Switch for Twisted Cable Detection
The SIEK-UV1 Pull Switch is used for limiting the number of times cables are twisted in a wind turbine. It's part of the safety chain.
How it Works
Usually, the software counts the number of clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW) rotations via an inductive sensor. If the count exceeds a certain limit (x), the cable will be untwisted.
If this measurement fails, the pull switch is activated, signaling that the wind turbine must be stopped.
