Photoelectric Switch

A photoelectric switch is an electronic device that uses light to control the operation of a circuit. It consists of a photosensitive element, which changes its electrical resistance when exposed to light.

There are two main types of photoelectric switches:

• Light-operated switches: These switches turn on or off based on the presence or absence of light. They are commonly used in applications such as street lighting, security systems, and automatic doors.
• Light-sensitive resistors (LDRs): These components change their resistance proportionally to the amount of light they receive. They are often used in dimmer switches, nightlights, and other devices that require adjustable brightness.
