Kema SC-4 Silicone Grease

Kema SC-4 Silicone grease is a grease-like silicone paste with very good dielectric properties. The product has a uniform consistency within a wide temperature range of -50°C to +200°C. It is a light transparent fat that is tasteless and air-free. It does not crack and solidify with aging. Weight loss due to evaporation is less than 2% after 24 hours at 200°C.

Applications

• Adheres to dry surfaces of metal, ceramics, rubber, PVC and all types of electrical insulation materials.
• High surface resistance, even in very humid conditions.
• Excellent creep and corona resistance.
• Special ability to encapsulate dust, dirt and the like, making the surface always water-repellent.
• Suitable for outdoor use on e.g. high voltage insulators.
• Chemically inactive and suitable for protecting and maintaining the flexibility of natural and synthetic rubber, PVC etc. Rubber sealing strips cannot therefore oxidize or freeze solid.
• Protects metal surfaces against corrosion.
