3M™ Scotchlok™ Connector

The 3M™ Scotchlok™ connector is suitable for connecting single or multi-stranded wires in installation and wiring technology. With a cross-sectional area of 0.5 to 1.5 square millimeters, it allows for a through connection even on uncut wires.

Its function is based on the principle of a U-shaped element: The wires to be connected are inserted into the connector without having to be stripped beforehand. By applying light pressure with the Scotchlok™ pliers, the U-elements remove the insulation, increase the contact area and establish contact with the wire.

The U-element, which is under spring tension, encloses the individual wires and ensures a mechanically secure, vibration-proof, electrically reliable and permanent connection. The connector has been tested in the high-voltage test field of 3M Deutschland GmbH in accordance with VDE 0606, 0607, 0303, 0470 and IEC23F and has met all requirements.
