Fluke BT520

Fluke BT520

Features

The Fluke battery analyzer offers a comprehensive set of features for testing and analyzing batteries:

Battery Voltage

During the internal resistance test, Fluke battery analyzers also measure the voltage of the battery under test.

Discharge Voltage

The discharge voltage function measures and records the voltage of each battery several times within the user-defined interval during a charge or discharge test. Users can calculate the time it takes for a battery to reach the cutoff voltage and use this information to determine the battery's capacity loss.

Ripple Voltage Check

Measures the unwanted residual AC component of rectified voltage in DC loads and inverter circuits. It allows users to check for AC components in DC load circuits and find one of the main causes of battery deterioration.

Meter Mode and Sequential Mode

  • Meter Mode: Used for quick testing or troubleshooting. In this mode, you can save and view readings in a single measurement or over time sequence.
  • Sequential Mode: Used for maintenance tasks with multiple power systems and battery strings. Before starting the task, users can configure a profile for data management and report generation.

Thresholds and Warnings

Users can configure up to 10 sets of thresholds and receive a Pass/Alarm/Fail indication after each measurement.

Cell-to-Cell Connector Resistance Test and Data Management

- Measures the resistance of the connection between cells in a battery line. After completing the measurements, the Fluke Battery Management Software version 1.0.69 can now indicate the cell-to-cell connection resistance in a series of batteries or historical data over time.

AutoHold

When AutoHold is activated, readings are captured when they remain stable for 1 second. The reading is released when a new measurement starts.

AutoSave

When AutoSave is activated, measured values are automatically saved to internal memory after capturing an AutoHold reading.

Software and Data Management

Fluke Battery Management Software:

  • Easily transfer data from the instrument to a computer.
  • Measurement data and battery profile information are stored and archived with the management software and can be used for comparisons and trend analysis.
  • Measurement data, battery profile, and analysis information can be used to generate reports easily.

Comprehensive Logging

All measured values are automatically captured during checks and can be reviewed on the instrument itself before downloading them for on-the-go analysis.

Optimized User Interface

Quick, guided, and graphical configuration that ensures correct data capture at all times.
