The following information is provided in the Annex to this Regulation:
(with two automatic measurement ranges from 0 to 50 NTU and 50 to 1000 NTU) / calibration at 0 NTU and 100 NTU
(with two automatic measurement ranges from 0 to 50 NTU and 50 to 1000 NTU) / calibration at 0 NTU and 100 NTU
The photometer is a portable meter with a large screen that meets all the requirements for measuring turbidity in situ. The photometer measurement range is 0 to 1000 NTU and is divided into two automatic ranges to increase accuracy. The simple keyboard allows the photometer to
- What ?Measurement method according to ISO 7027
- Large LCD screen 41 x 34 mm
- Real time
- High precision
- Infrared measurement method
- Measurement of transmitted light and diffused light
- Data-Hold
- Memory of maximum and minimum values
- Calibration at 0 NTU and 100 NTU.
- Compact impact-resistant case
- Automatic disconnection (at 5 min.)
Units
The photometer shows the result of the measurement in the Nephelometric Turbidity Unit (NTU). This unit is indicated in ISO regulations. NTU is identical to FTU (Formazine Turbidity Unit). In practice two other units of measurement are used
Principles of measurement
The photometer integrates an infrared LED as a light source that works with a wavelength of 850 nm. A photodiode, positioned at a 90° angle relative to the measuring light beam, receives the reflected light from the particles in the measuring solution. (
