3RG78 45, Type 4, Perimeter and Access Protection

These light beams have an integrated processing unit for type 4 in accordance with IEC/EN 61496 so no external safety relay is required
Simple programming using DIP switches or you can also purchase the separately sold SafetyLab software and programming cable and set the devices up using a PC which will speed the process up
Start/restart interlock - for perimeter guarding this should be switched on and requires manual reset of the start button within the time window after the machine is turned on or power supply is restored
Extendable restart delay time - factory set to 100ms, but can be extended to 500ms
Double scan mode - if activated, in difficult environmental conditions this option does not switch off beam immediately upon interruption, it waits to see if the interruption is still present in the next scan
Muting function
Ensure you calculate safety distance to any danger point accordingly if you use this function.
EDM - External Device Monitoring, monitors contactors, relays or valves downstream as long as they have force-guided contacts
